Anthropologie art installation, Oxmoor
On August 29th, I went to check out the live installation at Anthropologie. Sadly, artist Margherita Terrone was gone, but I was able to poke around the designed barricade and the new, beautiful store!

What you see above and below are horses… Some come off the wood, and some are painted on… True to the Anthropologie image, each horse is unique in texture and pattern. There are so many shapes and details to admire!

The contractors are still working on the space, and I was lucky to meet one of the men in charge. The picture below is some wallpaper I saw from outside… Isn’t it beautiful? Even though the store is just bare floors, walls, and some shelves, it’s awesome. I want to wallpaper my house in Anthropologie. I am a true junkie.

The floor you see below is what you’ll find in the store’s entry/foyer (where I was standing) and throughout. The contractor told me it is reclaimed barn wood, but he doesn’t know if it is local…

I left the art exhibit and new store glimpses wanting Anthropologie’s contractors to redesign my house (and indeed, when I mentioned that to the man I met, he told me he’s from Missouri and loves working anywhere). Even though the store isn’t officially open YET, everything about Anthropologie’s opening process is great. I hope to see all of you Anthro-addicts at the September 21st opening. I will be there WITH BELLS ON!
