Mama Made It!
My sweet husband got me a really cool present for my birthday. In fact, he was so excited about it, he couldn’t wait a week (I’m 32 on November 27). He borrowed/stole my favorite skirt (I didn’t even miss it) and gave it to Marilyn Belak, a local realtor and skirt maker extraordinar who in turn made a pattern, sewed me a skirt, and drew/painted the cityscape of Louisville on...

Old Louisville's Holiday House Tour!
(Photo: The Courier-Journal)
This past week, I was lucky to interview with Joan Stewart, Chair of the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council, for December’s upcoming issue of The Paper. What you see below is the wall at UltraPop! See the prints with the paper...

It was explained to me as a flea market where we can sell our junk (for us, that means old, vintage goodies we compulsively buy and then have no place for) and tables are $25. According to The Flea Off Market’s facebook page, it is:
“…a once-a-month outdoor bazaar that will take...

The Relic Tour.
My friend Laura posted on facebook that The Relic Tour is here in town for the weekend. I’m intrigued AND it is down the street from my house. I think I need to go…
A little about the collection from their website (click the text to read more):
“A unique and precious collection of more than 1000 sacred Buddhist relics will be permanently displayed in the Heart Shrine of...
